Champagne Pop

Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill Collaboration

Extreme closeup of my face wearing Champagne Pop

Some of you might know about (or be obsessed with) Jaclyn Hill. I am all about her. She's just so honest and talented and I absolutely love her freaking guts. She recently did a collaboration with Becca Cosmetics and created a highlighter. The result? Champagne Pop.

So unfortunately, this little gem was very difficult to get a hold of. Fun fact: this broke a Sephora selling record. Yeah, I know. Jac is a lady boss. This was sold out online for a while and is definitely sold out in stores (my local Sephora will no longer be restocking it), however, I think it might be back online, but don't quote me on that (just kidding, I checked, you can quote me on it).

 About Champagne Pop

Champagne pop is available at Sephora stores and retails for $38.00 USD. It's described as a soft white gold with pinky peach undertones. Jaclyn herself claims that it's suitable for all skin tones and ecourages you to apply liberally wherever you want your highlight to be on fleek.

What do I think?

I think it's a beautiful product. The pigmentation is just freaking unreal, so a little goes a loooong way. However, this is a very strong highlighter, so if you're looking for something subtle and natural, THIS IS NOT IT. Personally, I like to go for a more subtle highlighted look, so I wouldn't really use this on a daily basis, and if I did, it would probably be as an eyeshadow (multi-purpose product, heeeeyyyyy). So this is what Champagne Pop looks like on me...

Me with my highlight on fleek (sorry, it's just kind of mandatory)

The camera didn't pick it up very well, but I highlighted my brow bone, my tear duct, tops of the cheek bones, above the brow and the cupid's bow. But trust me you guys, you could see this highlight in person from a mile away. I kid you not, every time I passed by a mirror, I'd be like "heeeyyyy, I see you, bah bah" (points for you if you know where that reference is from).

The Verdict:

If you are a person who likes an intense highlight, this is totally worth it. If you're not, then you're better off saving your monies.

Thank you guys for reading. Until we get juicy again...

You can purchase Champagne Pop here.

XOXO,
Tanya
